We started our journey from Asansol by Historical Darjeeling Mail in night and reached jalpaiguri in early morning. Once we come out from
railway station, there were many shared Taxi (Sumo) for gangtok and darjeeling We
negotiated the price to take us to gangtok. Except first half an hour our journey followed the Tista River. I fall in love with the beautiful river, it was pristine green water and surrounded by mountains and trees.

We reached Gangtok in afternoon and weather was pleasant. We had to take a taxi as other vehicles is not allowable inside the City. After resting for an hour in our hotel, we decided to explore the city. We were staying in MG road, MG road is beautiful street and it reminded me of Europe.

After walking for some time we hired a taxi for Banjhakri waterfall. It
is a small beautiful park with a natural water fall. We spent some time roaming
around inside the park. We had MOMOS (which became our staple food for a week)
in the small kiosk in front of park before leaving to city
On the
fourth day morning after coming back from lachung, we went to see Sikkim
Himalayan Zoological Park and theFlower
Exhibition Centre in the Gangtok city.
There are
not many animals inside the zoo. It houses bear, leopards and many
beautiful pheasant . Red panda is biggest attraction of the zoo and the zoo is
very successful in captive breeding of it.

Flower Exhibition Centre is a greenhouse displaying flowers. It was beautiful and colourful. It displays different flowers around the year.

on the fourth day afternoon we said goodbye to Sikkim and started our onward journey for next destination,
