I spent a week in Høvik in the last week of November, It was pretty cold.

 Høvik is beautiful residential city with beautiful houses and terrain , it has shopping area, church and a railway station. I was amazed to see many kids skating all over the city. After spending most of the time near Høvik i decided to explore the Oslo on weekend.

Early morning i took train to Oslo and spend some time exporting the city, opera house national theater area and Oslo university

 Most of the museum are located in Bygdøy so I decided to spend the day in Bygdøy. From central station i took bus to Bygdøy. Bygdøy has several museums, like the Kon-Tiki Museum, the Viking Ship museum, Maritime museum and farm museum.

My first stops was Viking Ship museum. It houses great Viking ship found in different part of Norway. There are many Viking ships, cart, ornament, utensil and textile.Many of them are from 9th and 10th century.

I walked to Kon-tiki museum. This museum houses Kon-Tiki vessels and maps from the Thor Heyerdahl expedition, library, Oscar, and a video galley.

I brought stamps cover consisting stamps from different part of the world celebration 50 year of Kon tiki expedition.

Fram Polar Ship Museum and maritime museum was just opposite to Kon-tiki museum.Fram Museum houses strongest and most famous polar ship, the Fram, which was famous for sailing farthest north and farthest south.  I was able to aboard the farm ship and was amazed to see that well maintained condition of more than century old ship. There are many notes, equipment and weapons are displayed, which was used by crew in hostile environment. There are small ice house, which try to simulate ice cave.

The Norwegian Maritime Museum houses an impressive collection of marine painting along with marine archaeology. It also have a cafeteria inside.

Fram and Norwegian Maritime Museum is situated at waterfront and there are many interesting sculpture and other display. 

My Oslo expedition ended with late night dinner at Indian restaurant, was surprise to found Indian Kingfisher Beer over there.

Next morning i said goodbye to OSLO and headed for airport.
